Although I agree, that both eyes see (almost) the same thing :) there are some objections: Most of us don't run around with only one eye open. Since the angle of "normal" visual perception in humans agrees to the overlapping impression from both your eyes, the angle is definitely larger than from a 50 mm (it agrees to a 35), even if one eye covered an area of only 47 deg (which is not true). Besides, you see a lot of the black around the M3's 50 mm frame, except when you wear spectacles. Further, maybe it's the R SA I used, a face taken with the 21 at 50 cm, 20", looked more distorted than when taken with a 50 mm (corresponding frames). You have a 19, Eric; it's maybe even more obvious with that lens (in print, not visual impression).
