I love B&W shots of people, so that's what I checked first. Overall, I liked the shots, (I thought "Lundy" was fun and unusual ;-) but what really struck me was that I preferred the tight cropping of "Liz" and "Lesley" which are presented on the thumbnails page to the full photographs. Especially "Liz" works much better when tightly cropped, even though half her face is missing. More intriguing picture, for me at least. Perhaps it's just me, but I find that tightly cropped portraits are often more interesting than ones which are full head-and-shoulders. I think it might be because, as a viewer, you have to study the picture more. Personally I also think it shows less of what a person looks like and more of who they are. I also really liked the "Candy and Celine" shot on the first page. B&W manages to capture intimacy, emotions and moods in a way that colour film somehow misses. Regards, M. - -- Martin V.
