Someone please tell me that the mirror on the R8 is dampened so well that _you_ can shoot at 1/15s with the 80mm (handheld) and have a reasonable chance of capturing an in-focus photo. Or tell me that you can shoot the M I trick you can try: The R8 holds the exposure reading for several seconds after pushing the mirror lock up. The shutter is so smooth and quiet - that you can hand hold at very slow speeds. Focus the frame, with the MLU enabled, push the shutter partly down to release the mirror - then again to release the shutter. Of course, if you are trying to follow action this won't work.
