There's the simple matter of being able to see the brightlines for 35mm on an M6hm if you wear glasses (or simply prefer not to scratch your cornea on the viewfinder rim). It's pretty difficult. But even more, if you plan to do quite a lot of 35mm work, is the fact that with the brightlines so close to the edge of the finder image, you don't get to see much of what you're *NOT* putting in the frame. Perhaps others don't feel this is a big issue, but one of the things I find I really LIKE about the M6 is the amount of stuff I can see *outside* the frame. For using only the 50mm, I'd probably go with the M6hm. For 75mm or longer, there's no doubt I'd go with the HM. For 35mm, the straight M6 at least offers a bit of image outside the frame. - -Paul
