Subject: [Leica] M6 update

As a person who would like to see a later model M6, I thought I would give my
2 cents. I think the reason Leica won`t give us what we want Has to do with
their perception of what we want & what would be required to get it. I like
the idea of shooting through a 35 f1.4 asph AT f1.4 in daylight at say 6-10
feet ( For separation from background). But without a neutral density filter
there are no slow enough films available. No one on the LUG wants to use one
since an added lense adds posibilities of flair, and less contrast at least in
large blowups. A standard day in southern california at 12 noon is at least
1/ISO at f16. With ISO 25 this means F1/4 at 1/FOURTHOUSAND`th . I don`t
know but I would hazard to guess that 1/4000 is only available with electronic
timing. Electronics would never be tolerated by M6ers.(at least this is
Leica`s perception).
