I was thinking of dropping by Leica USA to see if they could fix mine. Do I have to visit our masters in Solms to get this fixed? This is my first Leica. I've owned cheapo Topcons and a couple of Nikons. Never experienced anything like this. All those cameras (except my new F3T) got to be older and were used much more and under harder conditions than my M6. __ Tore - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Gary Todoroff Sent: Friday, 13 March, 1998 00:30 To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Anonymous Allegations > From: Tore Larsen > > My M6 body is self-destructing-the > film-advance-lever rests on the body and is digging it's way through it. > Everything is firm, but the winder lever doesn't come as high as it is on > every other body I have seen. The spring tension on the advance lever had failed, allowing the lever to dangle in the wind. They fixed the tension, but months later, I noticed the finish wearing off under the lever. This was never a problem on any other M body I've owned. Gary Todoroff
