Hello Dan'l

I have been called many names in my time but nobody has ever mistaken me
for a Yeti, although my height compared to your average Nepali has been the
cause for some discussion. The strangest life forms in this magical,
mountain kingdom are without a doubt are the tourists that come here in an
amazing variety of shapes, sizes and dress (there may be a coffee table
book in this)!! I will admit though that on some nights when you are high
in the hills it easy to imagine meeting up with a Yeti.

Back on a photographic note - it rained for two days and nights in the
valley earlier this week. When the sky finally cleared late on Wednesday
afternoon the mountains were covered in fresh snow and long plumes were
being blown of the tops by the jet stream - an impressive sight. I can see
a lot of the range from my house but unfortunately the longest lens I have
for my M's is a 90 and a Schneider 210 for my 4x5. Anyone care to donate a
SLR and long lens?? - I'll send copies of the images.
