That's a standard hood that comes with the lens.  This lens has a quircky
characteristic in that filters must be inserted into the hood.  The lens
itself is not threaded for screw-in filters.  The hood unscrews into 2 part
with the hood separating from the base.  A series 7 filters drops into
place between them.  One of the few things I don't like about the lens.
Some of my favourite photographs were taken with it.
