But, as long as you don't download an attached file or excute a file, there is no virus danger. You can __read__ all files (except word-files = *.doc, macro virus), inclusive *.jpg, *.gif, *.bmp, *.avi, *.mpg, *.mov etc, and nothing bad will ahppen.
