Leica is doing better than any other camera manufacturer out there. You can't go by one tiny dip in one quarter to determine the fate of a company that has an 80% plus increase in sales of their SLRs. And it's been many years that Leica's increases in sales have been occuring. Only Contax has been close to them for increases in sales. >1) keep up the present mediocre level of slow product delivery, >"quality control" and tardy repairs New lenses and cameras have always been slow to market with Leica. This is nothing new. >2) avoid lay offs which would make # 1 above worse. Layoffs? Leica recently announced they added staff in Solms, and that they were one of the few German companies to do that in a long time. >All of this M7 stuff is just pie in the sky since Leica obviously >doesn't' have the funds for it, or the in house technology to produce >it. Hogwash. The just went public with a big infusion in cash. How the heck could such a strapped company come out with the fantastic lenses they have in the past few years right up to this month with the new M semi-zoom whatever? The sky is not falling. ========== Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch Profanity sucks.
