NB, the Fuji film although called 1600 does not have a starting ISO speed of 1600, I believe tested ISO speed was nearer 800, so develop accordingly. I usually take 90/2 and 180/2.8 (an old converted E.German Tele-Sonnar with bust iris) on both an M6 an SL and and end up shooting wide open at a 1/60th, any longer and there's too much shake. A monopod is something I'd seriously advise though it all depends on whether there's the oppurtunity to use it... At rehearsals its generally a little easier and I've even shot some 50/1.4 shots but the lighting is the biggest factor in making or breaking the pictures. Flash is out (for me, stylistically) and so I have to trust that spots hit the faces, if you can adjust them so much the better, but that's rare. Good luck. Jem
