It is customary for Zeiss (and Leica) to manufacture lenses in batches, so that one batch may be made in, say, 1993 and the next in 1998. It is rare for a lens to be in production continuously for years. So, is it possible that what you have heard is that Zeiss has ceased production between batches? Or did you hear that the lens is being dropped from their lens line for the G1/G2? Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
