It may well be that "the L-guys" do not have the resources to do the requisite R&D, set up the production lines, do the pre-production testing, do the advertising and marketing - - - - all the while ensuring that the AF lenses will meet the standards established by the current run of M and R glass. You're talking *lots* of money over time, which translates into some very deep pockets. Solms just might not have the resources.
