Compared to the earlier Leitz chrome finish of the M3/M2/M4, most of the regard the current M6 chrome finish as a rude joke, an imitation of the real thing that Leica is passing off to buyers who don't know any better. But don't take my word for it. Corner them at a camera show and make the statement that the M6 chrome finish is as good as the M4 and earlier cameras. They will have a difficult time containing their laughter. No offense Marc, but it's true. Stephen Gandy
