Subject: [Leica] The R8 winder has landed!

Picked mine up from my dealer in Stamford, Connecticut this afternoon. Very
slick piece of industrial engineering. Mine is number 327.  I'm just a bit
disappointed that Leica engineers didn't take this opportunity to center the
tripod thread and also that my Kirk Enterprises Arca adapter plate no longer
fits.

While in the winder-induced buying frenzy, I also picked up a 180/2.8 ROM.
At $1369 after the rebate, who could resist?
