Bokeh refers to the appearance of the out of focus areas of a photo.  Some
contend that Leica bokeh is better than other bokeh.  There does appear to me
to some difference among lenses and lens families regarding this.  It seems
that Canon, Zeiss and Leica pay significant attention to this in designing
their lenses.
