How about a lever that allows the user to set the lines they wish to use in
the finder. No clutter. The down side would be if the user forgot to reset the
finder after changing lenses. To me one of the great features of the Leica is
its rugged simplicty and freedom from automatic features. A user selectable
finder would be a step in this direction. 

However, I don't mind the extra lines in the viewfinder. I seem not to notice
them when actually using hte camera.
