I give T-max an extended pre soak and even agitate. This clears out a lot
of the "anti-halination" stuff which otherwise shows up later as a pink
color in the film base.

If you do end up with the pink color in the film base, Perma Wash (a
hypo-clear substitute) is very effective in removing it. Despite commonly
dispensed advice to the contrary, extended fixing times don't help much, as
the color is not silver halide.

If you clear it out in the pre-soak, it won't discolor your fixer.
