So ever since then, each time I hear the Japanese are making lens for Leica I get gun shy! It's a good thing the 70-180 2.8 was all Leica or I would not have bought it. What this lens illustrates is Leica should stay away from short cut/cost assembly and just produce the gear themselves. ted
