About 20 years ago, Norman Rothschild--the photowriter--gave me an 80mm f/2.8 Zeiss Planar lens without a diaphragm in it. I took it to Professional Camera Service in=20 New York City, along with a Kodak projection lens and had them remove the Kodak glass and replace it with the Planar. There really is a difference, corner to corner, as long as the slide doesn't pop out of focus due to the projector heat. Ed Meyers
