Seems to me the frame lines would be for the 90, and the image inside would be
bigger (magnified by the goggles), so you'd get the same image framed, except
that it would just look bigger with the goggles + 90frame combination than it
would with the no-goggles + 135frame. Of course the goggles don't magnify the
frame lines, just the image beyond them / beyond the finder. If you don't have
the goggles, I don't know what would happen (but my Hektor is a bitch to focus
in the 135 frame (but then doesn't really matter because there's no such thing
as "wide open" with the Hektor...))

I've found that Canon F1N focusing screens make a neat way to check framing on
your M. The matt glass rests directly on the Leica M film rails, so you can use
a loupe and check critical focus on a split image or microprism spot or
whatever else screen you happen to have. The F1N shows almost 100 % of the
36x24 frame, unlike many other SLRs which give you a subset. The T-90 focusing
screens should be cheaper because they don't include the metering pelicle +
metal frame, and you should be able to rest them right up against the rails
too.
