Not so? Nope. Hand holding isn't as good as using a tripod, so I wouldn't think so. It takes lots of practice to hold a camera at speeds below about 1/30 or 1/15. I have been successful down to 1/2 second, but have to blow a whole roll to get six or seven sharp images (if I'm not breathing hard). Not good for moving subjects. But it seems the mirror up does help a bit at 1/15 and down. Though I couldn't ever complain about the performance of the R7 without mirror lockup. So I assume the R8 has to be as good. Compared to the Nikon F5, it's smoother. ========== Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch Is reading in the bathroom considered Multi-Tasking?
