This lens is <snip> Stanley, it is no contradiction: The first Noctilux was f1.2. This lens was recomputed as stated above and became the outstanding f1.0. This lens has never been recomputed. christoph P.S. Though the formula wasn't changed the filter thread has been changed from 58mm to 60mm. Later the hood has been integrated.
