Thanks. >Van Barletta The Minilux is pretty good in this respect; the focusing will still reset itself with each shot, but I got used to that and accept that even the best point and shoot cameras will do that. Halfway pressure on the shutter release will move the lens into position and hold it there so when you want to actually fire the shutter, there is no appreciable delay. In practice I find the camera very fast to use, apart from the exposure compensation adjustment, and I abhor the unavoidable delay phenomenon described above (I returned my new Yashica T4 as soon as I got it because of the unforgiveable delay).
