You got me thinking. So I just looked up the date for my 15mm Super Lens,
and it's 1982 3217***. I bought it about four years ago (maybe five). It
was new. A local photo dealer (and very very good friend) bought-out a
store that was going out of business. This store used to be a Leica dealer,
so numerous new Leica items were part of the fixed price purchase. One item
was this lens. My friend offered it to me at an unbelievable price. I
snapped it up so fast that I'm surprised that the paint (ink) on the box
didn't stay behind. It is, without a doubt, one of my finest lenses.
Actually, it is my finest lens! It is just absolutely unbelievable. If you
can keep the camera level (both ways), the viewer of your resulting
photograph will simply exclaim "how'd you do that?" It is amazing what you
can do with this lens.

Happy shooting,

Jim
