The Focoslide is a device that puts a camers and a separate ground glass on a sliding plane. The lens or some other device is attached to another plane that the first plane slides on. To use it you focus on the ground glass, then slide the whole plane over so that the camera can see through the lens. A SM Focoslide takes any SM lens (for closeup only), extension tubes, variable extension tube, or the bellows I. If you have enough tubes you can go to any extension. Actually one time I used a wrapping paper tube and tape. Leica also made the 1:1 fixed focus device, called the BELUN, and the BEHOO, which was variable. The Focoslide is obviously not for action shooting--Marshall
