A local Photographer and his teenage daughter who tried to take pictures of the efforts of local farmers to help the animal were attaced by several people; the two were later followed and further harassed. One of their assailants reportedly shouted 'you guys cause this stuff!' " We are not all Paparazzi. The visually illiterate must consider the rich heritage of Humanistic Photojournalism-Eugene Smith, Larry Burroughs, Edward Steichens Family of Man Exhibition, Mary Ellen Mark, Salgado, Kouldelka, Bresson. And how about all the compassionate street photographers and essayists who struggle without recognition and compensation.
