I think this is an interesting idea. I don't have very many non-Leica lenses, but I think I might borrow some non-Leica equipment so I can try a controlled experiment. Certainly I see differences between out-of-focus areas in photographs I take with my lenses and those in photographs taken by other people with other equipment, but there are too many subjective factors involved in that.
