A Summaron is an f/2.8 or f/3.5 lens, a Summicron is f/2. Modern Leica lens names are based on the maximum aperture, not on the lens design, so all f/2 lenses are Summicron, all f/1.4 lenses are Summilux, etc. - - Paul
