Almy, age 38 Born Christmas Eve 1958, Itizuki Air Force Base, Fukuoka, Japan Moved to Maryland six weeks later, carried in a box on top of a bottle of Jim Beam (legend has it) Raised in Maryland Married, one five year old son BS, Photography, Rochester Institute of Technology, 82 MS, Journalism, Columbia, 86 VP Communications, National Business Aviation Association, Inc., Washington, DC, since 93 First camera: Brownie box, a gift, at 12 First real camera: Canon EF w/50 1.4, purchased new from NY for $382.50 Later, Hassie 500 C/M, Horseman 450, Nikon F2AS, F3, F3T, SX70, Minox 35GL, bunch of lenses... Current inventory: Nikon N90, 20-35, 35-70 and 80-200 Nikkor 2.8 lenses Fuji 617 (now for sale) Still have the Horseman 4x5 Leica stuff: M6, 35 1.4 ASPH, 24 2.8 ASPH, 90 2.8 R8, 100 2.8 APO, 180 2.0 APO I'm a lucky guy, a big fan of Gene Smith and the "old" LIFE, and am shooting mostly people these days, typically business folk aboard learjets (really, an odd specialty, but it's what I do).
