Logic of meter diodes on M6

     Well, there were two choices: the arrows could tell you which
way your exposure is erring, or they could tell you which way to
make an adjustment to correct it.  Either is perfectly logical; the
first might be more like a match-needle meter, but Leica chose the
second.  To my mind, the fact that the arrows oppose one another,
rather than pointing away from one another, makes that clear (in
case that helps).  Of course, if you just don't like being told what
to do, ...  <g>

     I'd rather imagine rotating the shutter dial 90 degrees away --
but that's a very useful idea, and I'd never thought of it.
