The .95 gives that extra speed if you absolutely need it, but a sharp lens wide open it is not. Nevertheless, it may mean the difference between a picture and no picture in some circumstances---and it is cheaper than a Noctilux. Note they ONLY fit the Canon 7 and 7s unless they have had M surgery. Generally the 50/1.4 Canon and 50/1.4 Nikkor are regarded as the best 50/1.4 LTM lenses.
