According to the Leica Pocket Book, 6th edition, Published by Hove, a Leitz lens with a serial number 750XXX would have been produced in 1949. So that lens would have been current with a post war IIIc, and it should be coated. This book should be available at most larger camera stores. I got it at Hunt's in Melrose, Massachusetts. They also publish a nifty Accessory Guide to Leica. It comes in very handy when trying to decifer the codes you see in ads for Leica gear. For instance, if you wanted a 35mm viewfinder for a IIIc, the various finders are all listed with their codes. So when George Ury says he has a WEISO, you know exactly what he has. Peter Jon White
