MacArthur DID wade ashore twice, but that is because there were two landings a day apart. The landing was NOT 'restaged'. Military historians have tried for fifty years to stop this baseless charge but to no avail. Incidentally, the principal photographer covering the landings was Carl Mydans who is, of course, still alive and still working, though rather slowly, as he is now in his 90's.
