They will convert an existing Contax-G 16/21/28mm lens to Leica-M mount for 55,000 yen. They offer no adapter. The "misprint" was that the ad had a heading saying "Mount Adapters" with the 3 Contax-G items listed first, despite the fact that they are not adapters. I looked more closely at the Chikuma Shokai ad featuring a Hologon>M conversion (298,000 yen including lens) and a 28mm Biogon>L conversion (98,000 including lens). The converted Hologon allegedly will meter on an M6 (interesting in that the through-lens meter on the Contax doesn't work with the Hologon---there's an external meter cell for that); the 28mm Biogon will rangefinder-focus, and supposedly meters both with an M6 and an M5. Sure wish there was an adapter. The surgical route seems like a lot of expense and bother, at least for the configurations that already have M-mount equivalents. =20 PB =20 Paul C.
