According to U.S. Navy tests - which I saw for myself - the 180 3.4 Apo
Telyt can do 450 lp/mm in the center and 375 lp/mm at the edge. And that's
the OLDEST Apo Telyt (vintage mid-70s).

No, it's not a rumor. It's going to happen. Can't remember where I read it,
but it's not a rumor any more. Why else would Kodak be bringing out the new
series of mini-labs for K-14? Kodachrome is still superior technology to
E-6, it just hasn't been updated for a long time.
