Maybe there's a market for metal cogs someone could fill.

If I paid $4600 Australian, body only, for an M6 and the plastic cog on
the winder failed I'd be pretty upset and might think I bought an
over-priced article.  If Leica can't get a light proof box right that
they've had 10 years of manufacturing experience with you have to
wonder.
