It permits me to make beautiful (to me anyway) photos of small objects - like contact lenses for research and teaching. It is my lectures and photos that get me asked to lecture all over the U.S. every year and once in Australia. Best scuba diving ever on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I'd definitely go back there again. Took my wife too. First time I ever won money at a casino playing a game called "two-up". But as Ted would say, "that's another story." The research microscope has a standard third observation tube with an outside diameter of 25mm. The camera needs to look down this tube to get the photo. My Canon microscope adapter fits over this tube and permits me to attach the camera to the other end for focusing and metering. Now I need an adapter to fit the 25mm outside diameter tube but with a Leica R mount. The meter on the R8 should work very well with the mirror lock up and 2 second self-timer. My latest Leica catalog is dated 1989. I can't find an adapter in there. Can anyone help me with this problem? It seems to be a standard part for anyone doing photomicroscopy. Maybe I'm the odd man out on this one. Thanks Richard - ------------------------- Richard Clompus, OD West Chester, PA, USA
