Ben,

The F3AF prism may mount on an F3 body (I don't believe it will, but it
may) but won't add anything more than focus confirmation to the camera. The
F3AF has extra mount contacts to drive/control the lens motors (The
original Nikon AF lenses had Canon style, internal drives).
