They are used in removing foreign bodies and other stuff that don't belong on your eye balls. The instrument length is about 4 inches. I have the new 100mm Apo macro lens and a Leicaflex SL. I need a source in the U.S. to purchase a light tent. I previously used a piece of white translucent plastic that I wrapped into a cone. I lit the sides of the cone and shot through a hole in the top. It produced even illumination without excessive reflections from shiny surfaces. I need a new plastic cone for my work. Anyone know of a source for this cone? Thanks. I sent out shooting with an M6, 28mm Elmarit and external viewfinder yesterday at a county fair. The camera just fit right - better than an SLR for me. I meter ahead of time, set the hyperfocal distance and just fire away. With the Leica M, I have learned to frame the picture in my mind first and then just align the viewfinder to match it. Very quick. I do need to get some electrical tape for the red dot logo. Most people just ignore this camera.
