Men ka i svarten si' du, Tore? Kanskje du har rett!

Ka? E du =E5ss=E5 nordl=E6nding, Oddmund?

<snip>

I thought about that too, but trying out the Minilux didn't persuade me.
You see very little detail in the Minilux' viewfinder, compared to a T2, =
or
a Leica M. Minilux has a 0.36x magnification, T2 has a 0.6x, and most =
M's
has a 0,72x magnification...(M3 is almost 1:1). Isn't that one of the
reasons why we like our M's, BTW?

<snip>

For my own use I prefer the T2 viewfinder over the Minilux. Possibly =
just=20
because the T2's magnification is closer to that of the M6. For my wife =
though,=20
it was clear from the first test-roll, that the Minilux viewfinder =
helped her=20
become aware of the composition of components relative to the frames of =
the=20
picture. I thought this could be Leica's intentional design based on the =

targeted audience for their point & shoot.

The Summarit lens is better wide open, but from f/5.6 there are no
difference, as far as I can see. Then the T2 viewfinder has frames, less
accurate though, than the M frames, but you find some tricks. In =
addition
the T2 has viewfinder information which is logical and sober. Finally it =
is
probably a matter of habit and taste. I think the T2 is closer to a =
Leica
M, both in operating and in "feel". Bizarre...

Oddmund

Before bying the the Minilux, I took it on a ride around town shooting =
mostly=20
architecture to compare it with my T2. The pictures came out reasonably =
alike,=20
but I think with a better (richer) color resolution for the Minilux. =
This also=20
made for more details and a slightly better illusion of the surface =
quality on=20
some buildings and on a bronze statue. The Contax is a "smoother" =
package=20
though that slips really easily into your pockets. If I lost my T2, I'd =
make a=20
careful reevaluation of the Minilux, the T2, and the Nikon 28 Ti. The =
latter=20
would be a questioning of which focusing length is actually most =
suitable for=20
the pictures I take with my second camera.
