Good sales of the R7 contributed to the healthy results for the R series and could compensate somewhat for the R8 difficulties. - - Turnover for M series rose with 8.5% to 76 million DEM. - - Turnover for compact cameras declined with 25% to 32.4 million DEM due to serious market difficulties (competition!). - - Turnover for binoculars rose with 28% to 38.4 million DEM. - - Turnover for slide projectors rose with 22% to 19.5 million DEM. Better results are expected for 1997/98, now that the major R8 delivery difficulties have been resolved.
