I too thought BAS to be one of the kings of lens testing and I still think, that his tests are correct and very well done. I liked the tests in the two big german photo magazines, because I didn't know anything better. The tests are very similar, one of them is done by BAS. I thought that this was all, which could be done in lens testing. Well, until I read a lens test written in dutch, written by some Mr. Puts. Since my Dutch is really extra poor (and I can only read and neither speak or understand a word) it was very hard work to understand, but it was a pleasure and I really was delighted. I realised, that it is possible to go further than showing some diagrams and count to ten. Erwin's tests and many comments in this group let me understand and use my Noctilux much better than before. So currently Erwin is my King of Lens Testing. christoph
