Leitz currently makes one but it is expensive compared to the Japenese Tasco or Bushnell line. Since you are only using it to see the holes in your target and not for taking photographs - I can't see paying the extra money for Leitz, Zeiss or even Nikon; A hole is just a hole. I usually shoot from 25, 50 & 100yds and a varible power 10x to 40x is best for me. - ---------- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us on behalf of Colin Sent: Sunday, June 08, 1997 9:00 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Leica Binocular Question Hello, I'm looking for a good pair of binoculars for looking at targets on a rifle range. Something in the 8-10 power, possibly with a rangefinder reticle would be good. Leica is obviously the brand of choice. This is primarily for air rifle so I'm probably not going to be looking more than 100 yards, 50 mostly. The binoculars the have caught my eye so far have been the older 'classics'-- pre-war through the sixties. I'm not too familiar with the older model designations. Could anyone give me a short summary of the models, and how they compare with the similar Zeiss models? Any recommendations? Thanks, Colin
