Hi

I think that they are different to compare. The Hexar is a very nice
camera. The Leica is a superb camera. But, the Hexar is a fixed lens,
chiefly AF, big point and shoot with a lot of overides. The Leica M6 takes
interchangeable lenses.

I shoot as a professional and currently use Nikon SLR's and Leica M
rangefinders. I have ordered a Hexar as an addition as I thinks it adds yet
another set of possibilities. I think it chiefly depends what you want to
do. I would certainly find the Hexar extremely limiting if I had it as my
only camera! If you want to shoot wit a 35mm lens only then a Hexar is a
fine camera. It is also a great carry camera and I know a lot of pros
(particularly in journalism) use them. But, if you want to do some
portraiture, distance street shooting, low-light stage work, or wider-angle
landscapes you will soon see its limitations.

Depending on your wallet...go for the M6!!!

Best wishes

Harold
