As yet, there is no scheduled release date in North America, and Tamarkin suspects that we will not actually see the lens until Fall. The selling price will be $1495US, not far above the current price for the standard Summicron, suggesting that Leica intends to eventually conpletely replace the standard 35/f2 Summicron (#11310) with the new model. The new lens is essentially the same size as the current Summicron, except with a larger plastic hood with directly-fitting cap. Michael Weisberg
