Good point, Al. One of the great strengths of the Ms is the excellent rangefinder contrast and ease of focusing in all illumination conditions. A partially covered window will wreak havoc on the system. That, plus, as you implied, a time for acclimating is necessary, especially coming from a wholly SLR environment.
