A friend of mine, Mark Vieira, has just published a book (Harry Abrams
publisher) which is one of the best on classic Hollywood glamour
photography.

Called "Hurrell's Hollywood Portraits,"  Mark analyzes the five major
periods of Hurrell's work, as well as his technique.   Having known
Hurrell, Mark displays an understanding not often found in photography
pictorial/bio books.

Hurrell's work is among the best photography ever, and the work is well
worth reading (and buying).
