(I use >the Cron 90mm, too) [snip] I own both the regular late model 35 summilux, and the first version aspherical summilux. I find from around f5.6 and beyond the two lenses are almost identical. At wider openings, the aspherical starts getting a bit better in the contrast department, and is much better wide open. At f2, while the aspherical is a bit better, the regular summilux is still quite good. If you plan on doing a lot of shooting at f1.4, the aspherical is the one to use, otherwise, keep your old lens and use the money to buy another lens. When I bought the aspherical, it was my plan to sell the other one, but I find that the differance in quality is not great enough to overcome the compactness and low weight of my old lens, so I kept it.
