I had an M3 with the same problem. I had it repaired at  Essex Camera
 Service,Inc  100 Amor Ave.,Dept. SB, Carlstadt, NJ 07072.  201/933-7272
 They charged  $120 and did a beautiful job. They also did a CLA at NC.  This
is opposed to two $400 estimates that I had gotten previously. They also
repaired a Leicaflex SL which I was also happy with.      Myron
